Photo Editing Information:
The “why” of a photograph

All the photographs since the invention of the first camera were taken to satisfy at least one of three different purposes.

1)  To create a visual record about a certain event, person, or place for later reviewing;  i.e. a message from the present towards the future to remember the past.
2)  To create a visual message from the subject(s) to other people.
3)  To create a visual message from the photographer to other people.

If that sounds a little too thoughtful for some of you, let’s put it another way.  Photographs communicate feelings and passions such as “Remember me, this place, this time,” “Look at me... I’m sharing something of myself with you,” “Look at this... it makes me feel something... do you feel it, too?
